Fees: Individual sessions cost $145 and are 50 minutes in length. Payable by cash, credit, or e-transfer. Sessions may be covered through your extended healthcare benefits, please refer to your individual plan to check what you might be eligible for and how to get reimbursed. I direct bill for FNHA clients.

Sliding Scale Options: One common barrier to counselling is the cost. I do believe that everyone should have access to professional services and I also believe you’re worth investing in so I've also chosen to make it more affordable by offering sessions on a sliding scale; I keep some spaces available for reduced rates specifically for marginalized peoples.

I require 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes to appointments. 50% of the session fee will be billed for missed sessions and late cancellations. I do understand that illness and emergencies happen and am happy to be flexible; please call or email me to make arrangements.

How can I prepare for my first session? Often, in first sessions, I gather basic information about your current daily life. This might include: What would you like to work through? What would you hope to gain from counselling? What does your daily life and circumstances look like? How do you tend to cope with difficulties? What are your strengths and who are your supports? What have your previous experiences been like with counselling? Some clients will jot down notes or thoughts they have between sessions to help them remember what they want to discuss their next session.

How often should I attend counselling? People come to therapy at different frequencies depending on their needs and goals. Some choose weekly sessions for consistent support and momentum, while others prefer biweekly or monthly check-ins. The right pace often depends on what you're working through, your schedule, your finances, and how you process between sessions. Together, we can find what works best for you.
